I was born and raised in California and studied at California State University Long Beach, where my interest in art and design began to flourish.

In 1993, I moved to Scotland to pursue advanced studies in Design and Applied Arts (Interior Architecture) at Edinburgh College of Art. During my time there, I explored various techniques and applications, including life drawing and printmaking. Afterwards, I spent three years in Shanghai, where I discovered my passion for painting.

In 2022, I embarked on a two-year MSc course in Art Psychotherapy where I wrote my thesis on the impact of art therapy in processing my own cancer-related PTSD and that of others undergoing cancer treatment.
